What started as a short interview project for a college course evolved into something bigger than myself. Licata follows the life, running, and faith of Ithaca College Track & Field runner Christopher Licata as he confronts the greatest challenge of his life: a collapsed lung. Told through intimate interviews, family archival photos, and training footage I was able to explore the fragile link between performance and self-worth in the world of competitive sports teaching us all that we can be so much more than the labels that are assigned to us.
